A couple of days ago I started filling out the Gettysburg off campus studies application!! Basically all I had to do for this application is sign off on a few things stating that I understand the whole process and that I am in good academic standing then I had to write a short essay answering the questions "Why do you wish to Study off Campus? and Why did you choose this specific program and how does it relate to your academic program at Gettysburg?" which was really easy especially because I have answered part of it in previous posts. Finally, the last part is a course approval form. I have to choose the classes I want to take at Wollongong University, list what curriculum requirement I want it to count for, paste in the course description and then wait for it to get approved. So far I have chosen two classes and I need to pick two more. The two classes I have picked so far are Exercise Physiology which would count towards my HS major requirements and Introduction to Indigenous Australia which I am hoping will count for my "Diversity-Global Understanding" G-burg curriculum credit.
After all of my courses are approved the application is sent to my advisor and finally it's sent to the Academic Standing Committee for review.
The next step will then be to fill out the Wollongong University application!!
I'm so glad I got a head start on this so I don't have to stress about it later. Sturrdawg hasn't started his applications yet. He has to officially declare his major first once we get back to school. We are so excited!!
